Army of One

For a long time, I've resisted posting anything here about me. Frankly, it's because I doubt that anyone really cares for the information. However, since it seems to be accepted practice to have an "About" link on a weblog, I've finally gotten around to it.

I have a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Psychology. For work, I'm a Vice-President of a regional healthcare provider in the Midwestern USA. (Illinois) I was elected as a Trustee for the Village Board of Stillman Valley and I plan to continue my political "career" in the future.

People comment that I seem to know an awful lot about a variety of things. Unfortunately, most of my knowledge is totally useless to the normal human being.

I consider myself to be a Reagan Republican which is awfully close in philosophy to being a Neoconservative. I'm also a Presbyterian, but unlike many of those in the denomination, I actually believe in the doctrinal statements. To that end, I consider myself to be an Evangelical.

I can't stand various left-wing politicians and celebrities. Among them are; Al Gore, Howard Dean, Al Franken, Michael Moore and Barbra Streisand. In a perfect world, they would be exiled to a far away desert island for a few years so they could re-think their political philosophies. (But I'm also thankful that we have a country where people are free to have different beliefs and opinions other than mine.)

I have a Border Collie and consider most other breeds to be inferior and hardly worthy of being included in the same species as the Border Collie. I'll allow that a few other breeds; the Australian Shepherd, the Sheltie, the German Shepherd, the Jack Russell Terrier and the Collie are also dogs.
