Blog Birthday

Much to the chagrin of people who know me, time and dates have always seemed to have a fuzzy meaning. Not that I'm late all the time it's just that my inner sense of time is rather fluid. For instance, I rarely can tell you the correct date on the first guess. Sometimes I can get it on the second or third try.

So it's not surprising that my 1 Year Blog Birthday came and went without me realizing it. Looking back through the archive I see that my first post was on August 8th of last year.

I haven't exactly achieved Fame and Fortune Through Blogging but that's not what I set out to do. Mainly this started as an opportunity for me to express some thoughts about current events and whatever else happened to come up.

Through the past year I've "met" some great people who continue to frequent this blog and weigh in from time to time with their comments. People like Douglas, Jen, John, Joe and others...

It's been fun not only to write but to see what others are saying. Now, let's see if I can make it to year two.

We share the trait of time fluidity. My family has found it's useless to ask how long it will be before I finish work, etc.

I think it will be half an hour, tweo hours later I show up.

I always say that when I die there will be 15 minutes of stuff that just won't get done.

Happy Blogiversary!

Thanks for the well-wishes. As far as time is concerned there's regular time and then there's something that my family refers to as "Jim-Time".

I'm delighted to be considered as one of your more intimate acquaintances in the blogosphere.

The first blogday seems to be an important milestone, as a lot of people run out of things to say before then.

Well congratulations on your blog anniversary! I honestly do not know the date I began blogging. I can't look it up either because I started on blogger.com, then cycled through the various services and publishing platforms until I reached Movable Type and began to really blog, as I see it. The other versions were just... test versions.

It's good to have you in the blogosphere with us and I hope you keep on keepin' on! I've been extremely busy lately and haven't had much time to visit the blogs of my friends, like I used to, but I do try to keep up with everyone.
