Army of One

Well, I'm not trying to rip off the US Army's marketing slogan. In fact, I don't think it's all that great of a slogan for them. The reason I call the weblog Army of One is to highlight the fact that anyone can have an impact if they're willing to make their voice heard. For some, making their voice heard might mean writing letters to their congressman. For others, it could be running for public office. My blog is one of the ways I can be an Army of One.

I'm one of those guys who should've joined the US Army when I was younger because I do have a certain affinity for our armed forces. I admire the men and women who serve our country and I'm thankful to them. Any contribution I could make pales in comparison to theirs. This weblog doesn't mean to imply that I have any connection to the armed forces. Army of One is just a cool name that embodies a philosophy I hold.
